Dear Men,

You have all heard that the 2020 GCA International Coaches Conference at Easton has been cancelled and rescheduled for April 29 – May 3, 2021. We have three extraordinary planners: Chris Cooper, Shane Scott, and Peter Simmonds. They planned a stellar conference at Easton this year, and we appreciate all their hard work and dedication. They have agreed to stay on as planners through May 2021 for the 2021 conference, and we thank them for their service.

At Easton Mountain, we have cancelled all programming through May. And, like all of you, we don’t know what will happen by then.
However, we are pleased to let you know that we will be offering 2020 Gay Coaches Virtual Conference this Thursday, April 30th and Friday, May 1st. Our motivation for arranging the online conference is to provide a focus point for our community to still come together, albeit virtually, at a time of challenge that most of us are feeling.
The online conference will be delivered using Zoom and will feature versions of sessions originally scheduled for the 2020 conference at Easton Mountain, including the pre-conference by Brian Gorman and Jeff Nally. You can learn more by going to: https://gaycoachconference.com/update
I am also happy to announce a new member to our Board: Adam Robersmith; and we have elected a new Vice-President, Garry Schleifer. He has been a long-time supporters of the GCA and we treasure the relationship between Choice Magazine and the GCA.

As a Board, we keep meeting on a regular basis, and we keep having our monthly calls on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Our next call will be on Thursday, May 14th featuring Damian Goldvarg. Check your email for an upcoming announcement from Allen Siewert.

As coaches, we have a unique opportunity to help a lot of people during this epidemic in so many ways. Please reach deep and decide what you have to offer and remember that the GCA is here and prepared to help you increase your enthusiasm for Coaching.

Yours,
Harry Faddis
Board President, GCA
