Marketing Tip

As coaches, we often practice on our own, and we tend to try to market ourselves on our own. While this can bring success, I have found another approach that is incredibly powerful. You may be able to adapt it to your coaching practice as well.

As coaches, we often practice on our own, and we tend to try to market ourselves on our own. While this can bring success, I have found another approach that is incredibly powerful. You may be able to adapt it to your coaching practice as well.

I have partnered with a business development consultant, and we go to market together. Tony is about what you need to do to improve your business. I am about who you need to be to improve your business. While this pairing has contributed to our ability to generate market interest, here is the piece that may be of most valuable to you.

Ask yourself, If I am successful with my clients, who else will benefit? For us, the answer is simple: financial advisors and small business bankers. So, in addition to marketing to small businesses themselves, we began meeting with small business bankers and financial advisors. The result, right now we have 9 workshops scheduled through April (hosted by Wells Fargo, Bank of America, HSBC, and Capital One) during which we will be able to demonstrate our value-add to their clients. And, since January 1, we have already had one financial advisor walk us into his client, introduce us…and his client is now working with us.

If you think there may be a grain of an idea here for you to work with, I would be happy to help you think it through!
