A message from the Board President

Dear GCA Members,

I feel happy to be able to share a lot of good news with all of you; I hope it will lighten your burden for a while.

Our 9th Annual International Gay Coaches Conference was held on Thursday, April 39th and Friday, May 1st. This event was conceived and executed by our extraordinary planning team: Chris Cooper, Shane Scott, and Peter Simmonds. I’m sure they have received many notes of appreciation from our members and please get in touch with them if you haven’t already done so.

Looking to the future, we have scheduled the 10th Annual GCA Conference for Thursday, April 29th to Sunday, May 2nd, 2021. In coaching lingo, we are operating from a perspective that is hopeful and optimistic.

In our May 14th call, Damian Goldvarg made an inspirational presentation on RESILIENCE, which is a topic on all of our minds, personally and with clients. Tim Kincaid facilitated the conversation in his skillful way of inquiry and focus.
Coming up in July is part two of a presentation on WRITING, focusing on the actual writing and the publishing of essays, articles, and books. If you have it in your mind to write something and have been reluctant to get started, this is a conversation you will want to be a part of. More will be announced on the website.

I’d like to express my deep gratitude to all of those men who generously offered events at the GCA Conference. I know I learned a lot and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed our DRINKS PARTY. If you ever wondered why there is a “Gay” Coaches Alliance, that party showed us why. It was SO gay and was as natural as can be. To all of you, drinking and not, wearing festive clothing and not, I salute you.

Yours,

Harry Faddis

President, GCA Board.
